To the One Who Never Got Closure

When one door shuts….

Dear Unanswered Me,

You didn’t get the final talk.

The long text. The neat bow of understanding.

It ended messy, quiet, or confusing. And now you’re left holding all the words that were never said.

I know how badly you want to make sense of it.

To know if you were loved. If they hurt too.

If any of it was real.

Here’s what I can tell you now:

Your experience was real.

Your love was real.

Your pain is valid—even if they never acknowledged it.

Closure doesn’t always come from them.

Sometimes it comes from choosing to stop waiting for answers that can’t heal you.

You can release the weight without their permission.

You can be free without their explanation.

And when your mind circles back, just say:

“That was then. This is now. I am walking forward.”

Lovingly,

Me
