Pen and Page Journey

There was this cold December evening in Indiana and my mom, grandma and me decided to go get pedicures. The holiday was coming up and I was home from college.

Whenever I came home from college my late grandma and I’d would go get pedicures. But this visit to the salon was no average one. We were getting our pedicures as normal, enjoying the warm water on our feet and just relaxing. We’re one of only a few people in there much to our surprise. We enjoyed the moment and just as we were getting ready to leave, satisfied with our service and polish, a stranger walked up to the three of us and gladly shared with us he was covering our service today. He said he and his late mother used to make it a regular quality time outing and get pedicures together and seeing us reminded him of it so much that he paid for all three of us and left a tip.

That moment made me feel so seen in the warmest way. 🥰
