The joy of a warm, soft blanket. It’s there for us on those chilly nights outside. It feels better than a jacket and more free than a hoodie. Plus, there’s a sense of safety in it that jackets and hoodies just don’t posses. Wrapped around us blocking all wind, and a shield from the low temperatures.
You can never own too many, each one has their own unique characteristics that make them perfect in their own right. Heavy and weighted; light and airy; soft and fluffy; thick and durable. From the brightest of colors and patterns, to the plain greys. They are timeless. Some of them handcrafted with love, passed down from generations and others made with the assistance of machines and modern technology. Some are with us for a season, serving a short and sweet treat. And others remain with us forever, as we move homes or cities and transition through different life stages.
Comfort is available to us all, and sometimes all we need to feel that is a warm blanket ☺️
