Comfort is there when we aren’t even looking. From emotional comfort, to a comfortable blanket or a comfortable environment.
After a long day at work, a cup of warm tea can comfort one before bed. A soft, plush blanket can provide comfort to one who is cold, sick, or in need of some soft, weighted support. A fireplace on a cold day can offer comfort through warmth and togetherness.
Comfort is the opposite of cold. It’s warm. The opposite of disconnection, but connection. Comfort holds people, through grief, healing, seasons of transition. It offers the right thing, at the right moment.
Warmly,
💟
